YL-WD100 is a 100% active multifunctional methylaziridine liquid crosslinking agent. It is used as a crosslinking agent component in waterborne two-component acrylic or polyurethane systems to improve the performance of the waterborne systems.

YL-WD100 can be diluted with solvents such as acetone, xylene, isopropanol, n-butyl acetate, and carbitol. It generally exhibits good compatibility with these solvents, but the stability of the prepared solution must still be tested.

YL-WD100 is a crosslinking agent suitable for aqueous systems, capable of crosslinking polymers with reactive carboxyl functional groups. The recommended addition level for this product in aqueous acrylic emulsions or polyurethane dispersions is 1-3%, which significantly improves their water resistance, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and moisture resistance, and enhances adhesion to specific substrates. The optimal addition method is to premix WD100 with water at a 1:1 ratio before adding it. WD100 reacts at room temperature, therefore it can be used under both room temperature drying and forced drying conditions.

After adding YL-WD100, the pot life of the aqueous two-component material is typically 18-36 hours. Beyond this time, the effective aziridine groups are lost, requiring replenishment, but this has no significant negative impact on the system.
